Blind Day 2026
Experience sand art with your hands
One day a year it is allowed: touch the sand sculptures! During Blind Day on Monday, January 5, 2026, the exhibition at Sand Sculptures Garderen will be open especially for people with visual impairments. A unique experience that focuses on feeling, listening and imagining - an exhibition for everyone.
After the success of past years, we are organizing this special day again. Visitors will be warmly welcomed upon arrival with coffee or tea and something sweet. Then there will be ample opportunity to explore the sand artworks. Our staff will be present in several places to give text and explanation about the sculptures and their stories.
Previous editions attracted more than 150 participants each time and produced moving responses:
