In the middle of the Veluwe is a unique location: the sand sculptures in Garderen! More than 200 sculptures made of sand, wood and concrete depict a specific theme. In a fairy-tale environment you will walk past the sculptures, provided with beautifully landscaped gardens, music and special effects. On the grounds of the Sculpture Garden are multiple catering options for both a cup of coffee and a full lunch. A wonderful outing for the whole family.
Words and imagination come together in stunning sand sculptures during the new 2024 exhibition with the theme BOOKS. Walk through the large sand library and admire the beautiful stories from children's books, literature and fairy tales, among others.
Winners Gouden Griffel and Gouden Penseel 2024 surprised by own sand sculpture in exhibition! Author Annejan Mieras and illustrator Jeska Verstegen were recently surprised at Sand Sculptures Garderen. There it was announced by book umbrella CPNB that they are this year's winners of, respectively, De Gouden Griffel for the best written children's book and Het Gouden Penseel for the most beautifully illustrated children's book.
We are pleased to announce that, as we do every year, we will again organize a special day for the blind and visually impaired at the end of our exhibition. On this day we offer this special group the chance to experience our sculptures in a unique way: through touch and feel.
The sand sculptures are in a unique location, in the midst of the Sculpture Garden in Garderen. A day out for the whole family.
The Sand Sculptures are open year-round Monday through Saturday, with the exception of some holidays:
April 1 (Easter) open from 1 p.m.
May 9 (Ascension) opened from 13.00 hrs.
May 20 (Whit Monday) open from 1 p.m.
